Prayer Groups
There are a variety of prayer groups at St. Therese, reflecting different ways of praying and purposes for prayer, from charismatic prayer to quiet prayer, intercessory prayer to family prayer. If you would like more information about any of the groups listed below, please call one of the leaders, or if you have questions or suggestions about prayer at St. Therese, or would like to help form a new prayer group, please contact Tom Skorupa at 741-2800, ext.221 or tskorupa@sttheresenorth.org.
"For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy."

Intercessory Prayer
Purpose: To bring together people who pray for the intentions of members of our St. Therese faith community.
Virginia Smith, 587-9837; Dan Vanover, dvanover@kc.rr.com
Martha, Mary and Lazarus
Purpose: To learn how the Holy Spirit works in our lives, to offer prayers of intercession for all parish needs, to serve wherever God sends us individually and in groups. Come and share a time of Love, Peace and Joy with the Mary, Martha and Lazarus Prayer Group. We gather to recognize the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and to deepen our personal relationship with Jesus—Tuesday morning at 10:00am in the Wooldridge Center Meeting Room. We sing, pray, laugh, share our blessings, and have a time for intercession. You don’t have to say anything unless you want to—just sit, pray and be blessed. We think you will really enjoy it. Angie Malony, 741-0580, angiejm@kc.rr.com; Annette Younkers, 741-1794
Mary Ann Frawley, 741-9728, mfrawl1@hallmark.com
Moms in Touch
Purpose: To pray scripturally for the children and teachers of St. Therese School and for all involved in the education of our children.
Carla Killen, 741-5976, ckram5@sbcglobal.net
Queen of Peace
Purpose: To provide community for those who love the church and want to pray and grow in holiness.
Joyce Bischof, 741-1748; Carleen Meyer, 741-5117 Lisa Corley, 569-4495
Women of Faith
Purpose: Are you seeking to deepen your faith through Sacred Scripture, fellowship, and prayer? We invite you to join us as we learn to incorporate our faith into our ministry as wives and mothers. We meet every Wednesday during the school year (except on days off), 9-11am on the third floor of the Education and Parish Center. Babysitting is free! Feel free to come as your schedule allows…every week, once a month, once a semester…we are just glad to have you join us!

Adoration
Open your heart—Our Lord so wants to be a part of our life...more than just one hour on Sunday. He loves you more than you can ever imagine. Let Him love you, come spend an hour with Him in Adoration. It will be the second best hour you will spend in your whole week, next to the Holy Mass on Sunday! Come to the Adoration Chapel Monday through Friday, 9am-10pm to spend any amount of time in the prayer of adoration. Or please call Bill Rumker, 891-2555; Tom Robinson, 891-9493; Carolyn O’Laughlin, 587-9223 to arrange for a regular adoration time.
Divine Mercy Chaplet
Especially since the year 200, when Pope John Paul II named Sr. Faustine a saint of the Church and established the First Sunday after Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday, Catholics have been especially aware of the beauty, grace and ever-near presence of God's Abundant mercy in their lives. The Divine Mercy Chaplet, the prayer Christ gave directly to St. Faustina, is prayed daily before the 8:30am Mass (starting at about 7:50am); please call Bill Rumker, 891-2555 for more information.
