Bishop Helmsing Institute
The Bishop Helmsing Institute is an apostolate of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph designed to aid the lay faithful in knowing, loving, and serving God. This is the very meaning of life: to love the Lord Jesus Christ and do His will in this life that we might be united with Him in eternal bliss after death. The Institute's program is designed to both teach the Catholic Faith as well as advance the students in their spiritual life. This is accomplished through education, prayer, and social action.
The Bishop Helmsing Institute courses make up a comprehensive catechetical education designed to bring the student closer to Christ through knowledge of the Truth He came to reveal through His Church. The three year curriculum brings a student to a full knowledge of the faith in a way that he may begin to employ his gifts to their fullest for the sake of the Kingdom.
